The Three Questions Everyone Who Called Themselves Christian should be asking themselves.
Matthew 7:21-23 (New King James Version)
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
The Three Questions Everyone Who Called Themselves Christian should be asking themselves. If this discussion is with people who have prophesied and driven out demons in the past, then they must be Christians who have lived dirty lives. have you asked yourself these three questions? Are you sure of yourself entering heaven? Before are three critical questions that you must ask yourself before death because there is no repentance in the grave.
- Who Am I?
Knowing yourself is very critical for every faithful Christ follower. If the answer is, “I am a child of God.” Do you have the right to be called a child of God? Have you received Christ in Your life? John declared that But to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God (St. John 1:12). According to Romans 14:11-12, It is written: “As surely as I live, says the Lord, every knee will bow before Me; every tongue will confess to God.” So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.
2. Am I Obedience?
The animals obey; even the storm in Mark 4:35-41 and the legion of demons in the man in Mark 6:7-17 obeyed the Lord Jesus. Throughout your Christian life, have you asked yourself this critical question? When you obey, you show God that you are willing and able to obey whatever God asks. Obedience to God is not only a way to worship him but a way to get closer to him, prepare for whatever he leads you to, and grow as a person.
Why should you be Obedience?
- Obedience shows your love for Christ and His work on the cross.
If you love me, you will keep my commandments (John 14:15, ESV).
- Obedience shows that you are not a false Christian.
And we can be sure that we know him if we obey his commandments. If someone claims, “I know God,” but doesn’t obey God’s commandments, that person is a liar and is not living in the truth. But those who obey God’s word truly show how completely they love him. That is how we know we are living in him. Those who say they live in God should live as Jesus did (1 John 2:3–6, NLT).
- When you obey, you show God that you are not witchcraft and will be rejected by God.
And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice and to hearken than the fat of rams.
Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is compared to the sin of idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king (1 Samuel 15:22-23 KJV).
3. Am I Submissive?
As Christians, God has given us the resources that we need to serve Him submission. For example, Jesus willingly serves us by taking on our greatest need, our debt to sin and death. He submits himself to death for us. Jesus submits to his father’s will and serves us at His expense.
Every time you defile the divine order of God, everything goes wrong. In Ephesians 5:22-33, God orders the wife to submit in everything and the man to love his wife as Christ loves the church.
Hebrews 13:17 declared that you should have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account.
